Interspecies sex is perfectly normal and natural, it occurs in the animal kingdom as well. Don’t know if your picture is just fake, but elephant bulls mount rhino females when a female elephant isn’t around. So it’s really mediaval stuff when humans and animals are killed just because they have sex. The bible and church is to blame here. When are they gonna wake up from their darkages?

Nostalgia rules! I spent 6 years (1952-58) arriving and departing at The Angel station, when I worked and studied at The Northampton Polytechnic/College of Advanced Technology/City University. On arriving I always hoped that the lift was working, otherwise it was a long haul up the circular staircase. On departing, the walk turning into a run if I heard a train arriving, in vain if it was going the wrong way. In those days, when I was caught up in the rush hour the narrowness of the platform could be a bit daunting. I look forward to viewing the documentary to find out the inner workings of the station.

Hi there, Goldsmith. Many thanks for pointing out my errors in this piece (I’ve now corrected them). No excuses, particularly with regard to Skopje being in Macedonia, not Kosovo! All I can say is that with all the chaos/conflict/change in this part of Europe in recent decades it’s left me at times a bit confused. Maybe I’ve been living in middle-of-nowhere France for too long?

If you have the time and/or inclination perhaps you might consider writing a review of the gig? I’d be quite happy to put it up on this blog.

Hey, there. I stumbled into this post somehow after seeing Blla Blla Blla in Skopje yesterday. Their live shows are always awesome. Idriz has a very impressive stage presence, and the rhythm section is one of the grooviest I’ve ever seen.

As someone who was born and lived most of his life in Skopje, I just wanted to correct some stuff here: Blla Blla Blla are indeed from Skopje, but it’s actually in Macedonia (it’s the capital, in fact). The official languages in Kosovo are Serbian and Albanian.

Unfortunately, I’m ashamed to say that, despite being 1/4 Albanian myself, I don’t know the language and don’t know what most of these songs are about, so I’d love to hear some translations if you run into any.

If there are any Albanians tuning in perhaps they can tell me how ‘Blla Blla Blla’ translates into English. Also give me some links as to where you can actually buy their music. I can’t find any!
