Earlier today the BBC spoke to Matog, a guy in his 20s who’s part of the rebel forces in Ras Lanuf, where there has been very heavy fighting. This is some of what Matog said…

“I never thought I’d see the things I am seeing. It’s brutal – seeing the clashes, people dying in front of you, overwhelmed hospitals. What you see on the TV can’t compare to the real picture. We are looking for freedom, that’s what everyone wants. I won’t leave until Gaddafi leaves. He has to kill every young man before he can continue ruling the country.”
