Burgundy poetry discussion board was set-up in May 2002. In its first six months the site attracted more than twenty thousand hits and it continues to gain much attention. Rob Godfrey was born in the Old Kent Road, London, on 21st March, 1964. He describes himself as an adventurer, poet, novelist, soldier of fortune, philosopher and in need of a psychiatrist. He is widely travelled and has lived at various times in France, Canada and America. In 1999, Rob undertook The 2CV Alaska Challenge, in which he became the first man ever to drive a Citroën 2CV up to the Arctic Ocean. Rob has written eight novels, three books of travel stories and numerous poems and articles. He earns his living as a freelance writer and as an engineering draughtsman, trading as Spidertech. This mixture of the creature and practical can be found in his mechanical sculptures, the latest of which is called Commuter. Rob's next travel adventure is The Paris to Peking Challenge, which retraces the route that Prince Scipione Borghese took during the 1907 Peking to Paris rally. |
